Bank of America is one of the most well-known and reliable banks in the United States today. They offer many kinds of products to their customers and one of the most one set of products is their Certificate of deposits (CDs). There are four different kinds of CDs offered by Bank of America and they are High Yield CD, Risk-free CD, Opt-Up CD and Standard Term CD. Each of these CDs come with their own features and it is up to the customer to decide which is best for him or her, depending on their individual preferences and financial goals. Apart from the features, the Bank of America interest rates on all the CDs is really good.

The current Bank of America CD rates for the Opt-Up CD scheme is 1.00% APY for all balances. The Bank of America certificate of deposit rates on the High Yield CD is 0.80% APY for all balances and the interest rate is 0.40%, in the case of Risk-Free CD. The Bank of America CD rates for a standard term CD is 0.30% for all balances for a term period of 28 to 89 days. The interest rate is 0.35% for all balances fro a period of 90 days to 11 months and it is 0.65% for all balances for a term of 12 months to 17 months. It is 1.11% for a term of 24 to 35 months and 0.85% for a term of 18 to 23 months. The interest rates are 2.01% for a term of 36 to 59 months, 2.51% for a term of 60 to 119 months and 3.51% for a term of over 120 months. These good interest rates are one of the reasons for the popularity of this product.

Here at Bank Rate Info we aim to be constantly updated with the Bank of America savings rates (one of America’s top leading banks). Here in this post, we will be focusing on the updates in the Bank of America Money Market Rates.

As we all know, the Bank of America constantly thrives to beat its competitors in Annual Percentage Yields however to prove how successful they have been, one can only do this by comparing their rates. There is a new Money Market Savings account in Bank of America known as the ‘Growth Money Market Savings’ promising a better outreach to all their previous customers based in the ordinary Money Market Savings account.

The Growth Money Market Savings account promises no monthly maintenance fee when linked to a Bank of America Advantage with Tiered Interest Checking or Preferred™ with Tiered Interest Checking or as an alternative, to maintain a minimum daily balance of at least $5,000 in your account. If not, the monthly maintenance fee is at $10.

The Annual Percentage Yield standard rates are as follows: With a balance from $0-$9,999 the rate is at 0.15%, from $10,000 to $24,999 the rate is at 0.35%, from $25,000-$49,999 it is at 0.45%, from $50,000-$499,999 it is at 0.50%, from $500,000 to $2,499,999 the rate is at 0.70%. All are for standard rates only.

The APY for standard rates with bonus are as follows: With a balance from $0-$9,999 the rate is at 0.40%, from $10,000 to $24,999 the rate is at 0.60%, from $25,000-$49,999 it is at 0.70%, from $50,000-$499,999 it is at 0.75%, from $500,000 to $2,499,999 the rate is at 0.95%. All are for standard rates only. Bonus interest rates can be earned in your Growth Money Market Saving account when any of the following is done: an automatic transfer of $250 or more from you Bank of American checking account is sent to your Growth Money Market Saving account, an automatic transfer of the monthly interest payment from your Bank of America CD or a direct deposit of $250 or more into your Growth Money Market Saving account.

The market has changed in the few months since we last looked at Bank of America savings account rates, so we here at Bank Rate Info thought we should update you on the latest offers and rates with Bank of America interest rates.

The best Bank of America high yield savings accounts offers are with the Growth Money Market Savings, of course. These accounts require a $5,000 deposit and balance to open and maintain without fees. The Bank of America interest rates are tiered by deposit amount, so the more you have saved, the better your rate.

At $0-$9,999 the Bank of America high interest savings account rate is 0.35% in money market (annual percentage yield or APY) or 0.60% if the account is attached to another BoA bank account such as checking.

From $10,000 to $49,999 the return is 0.50% APY or 0.75% APY with an attached account. From $50,000 to $99,999 the return is 0.70% APY or 0.95% APY with attached account. Finally, over $100,000 the Bank of America high yield savings account rates for this money market is 0.85% APY or 1.10% APY with attached account.

These are great money market offers and definitely some of the best Bank of America interest rates offered on variable rate accounts.

Compare that to the standard Bank of America savings account rates on a Regular Savings account which has a return of 0.10% APY. This account has only $300 in minimum balance requirements to avoid fees.

Bank of America has some good offers and is FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. All rates are variable, of course, so today’s Bank of America interest rates may not be tomorrow’s.

We here at Bank Rate Info haven’t had a look at the latest Bank of America CD rates in a little while, so we thought we would do that and bring you up to date. Looking at them, we’re glad we did. There is some interesting stuff going on with some Bank of America interest rates.

Promotional offers are usually where the best Bank of America certificate of deposit rates are found. The current promotions are with an 11 month term (online-only, auto-renews for an additional 11 months at standard rates). This offer is at 1.50% annual percentage yield (APY) and has a $5,000 minimum to open and maintain.

A similar IRA CD offer is made as a promotion for Bank of America CD rates with a 1.70% APY for twelve months (auto-renews for another 12 months at standard rates). This account requires a $2,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain and is a tax-exempt account provided it stays within the rules for an IRA investment.

Another offer for Bank of America certificate of deposit rates is the Risk Free CD. This is a nine month term with a 0.65% APY (0.75% for IRA). This account has a $5,000 minimum to open and maintain ($2,000 for IRA).

The Opt-Up Bank of America CD rates are also good. On an 18 month term, it has a 1.50% APY and allows you to “opt up” to a new rate once during the 18 month term. This account requires $10,000 to open and maintain.

Other CD rates are measured in days (7-179) and months (6-120). These standard terms have specific requirements depending on your term choice. 7-89 days pays 0.30% APY, 12-17 months pays 0.95% APY, 24-35 months pays 2.01% APY, and 120 months pays 3.51% APY.

Bank of America is fully FDIC insured.

The alrgest improvement is to the Bank of America On Line banking website itself, which has seen a lot of upgrades to it’s menus and back-end. It runs faster, works better with mobile banking needs, and is definitely improved overall in design and capability.

As always, you can check the latest Bank of America interest rates through their site and transfer money from accounts into newer ones when you wish to take advantage of those improved Bank of America interest rates when they come up.

Other Bank of America electronic banking improvements are to the faster menus and access to your accounts through Bank of America Online banking. New step-by-step guides have been added so you can more easily learn to use the Bank of America On Line banking site.

You can now transfer funds away from Bank of America Online banking to other sites or banks, which is nice if you invest or have multiple banks. Bill Pay is still available to Bank of America electronic banking customers, as are account activity updates and alerts.

It’s been a little while since we updated you on the latest Bank of America CD rates, so we thought we’d check to see what’s changed over there. Looks like some big updates on the Bank of America certificate of deposit rates have happened, so Bank Rate Info is definitely on the job today.

First new high yield CD Bank of America interest rates offer is now available on all balances (minimum $5,000) at 1.60% APY for a one year term. This is available online only. A nice offer for such a short term.

Another nice option for Bank of America CD rates are the Opt Up CDs, which are similar to “Risk Free” certificates, but instead of auto-renewing, they allow you to jump up to a higher rate once during their term and compensate by having a higher deposit requirement. With a minimum $10,000 deposit requirement, they require more to get in, but give you that great Opt Up chance.

The Opt Up begins with standard Bank of America certificate of deposit rates, but if rates go up during the term, it can be increased. Current standard Bank of America CD rates are by term:

28-89 days: 0.30% APY

90-179 days: 0.50% APY

6-11 months: 1.00% APY

12-17 months: 1.26% APY

24-35 months: 1.50% APY

Other terms are also available, with Bank of America interest rates out to 120 month terms (currently 2.10% APY at that length).

Interest on the longer-term (more than 18 months) terms is compounded monthly and can be withdrawn monthly as well. Standard term CDs automatically renew for a continued, like term unless you ask for closure at term end.

All Bank of America accounts are FDIC insured and the special Bank of America CD rates we’ve listed may change at any time, so lock in your chosen Bank of America interest rates now if you’re interested in any of these.

When we last looked at Bank of America money market interest rates, there were some compelling offers in both money market and regular savings account rates. We at Bank Rate Info figured it was time to bring you up to date again on those rates and offers.

We’ll look at the Bank of America money market interest rates first, then savings. Bank of America money market rates (listed by annual percentage yield, or APY) are tiered by deposit amount, with a fee if your balance falls below $5,000. We’ll look at the tiers up to a $100,000 deposit for Bank of America rates:

$0 – $24,999 = 0.50% APY

$25,000 – $49,999 = 0.65% APY

$50,000 – $99,999 = 0.75% APY

$100,000 – $499,999 = 0.85% APY

These are competitive money market yields, for sure. For Bank of America bank account rates for savings, all balances receive 0.10% APY. These Bank of America rates are available for balances in savings accounts over $300, so they’re easy to get into.

All Bank of America accounts are FDIC insured and these rates can change quickly. So if you’re interested in any of these Bank of America interest rates, be sure to get your account opened now.
