There are two kinds of Bank of America savings account rates available right now, so we here at Bank Rate Info thought we should bring you up to date. We’ve covered money market accounts recently here, but we have not had a close look at straight savings accounts for Bank of America interest rates.
The Bank of America savings account rates right now are at 0.20% annual percentage yield (APY) on all balances. This rate hasn’t changed since we looked at it last when comparing it to money market yields.
For real Bank of America high interest savings accounts, the money market offerings are still very good. They’re tiered by deposit amount, so even at the minimum deposit (under $5,000), the rate is a good 0.85%, but that could have fees attached unless the account is linked to a Bank of America checking account.
When we examined money market accounts earlier, the yields were a little better for the lower-balance Bank of America savings account rates in money market, but 0.85% (up to $50,000, at which point it rises to 1%) APY is a good return for this kind of account.
So if you’re looking for Bank of America savings account rates, it looks like they’re holding steady at 0.20% APY, while Bank of America interest rates for money markets are down a little from the last time.
All rates are subject to change, of course, and we’ll do our best to keep you updated when this happens. All Bank of America accounts are FDIC insured.
